Cool Don in Oz with a singapore 19 chamade

hello fellow froggers
aussie site - aussiefrogs.com looks a lot like this one !!

Thanks to Gentle Ben - you softy- for the contact dertails.

I bought a 91 RGTS 19 phase 1 chamade 2 years ago on ebay for $900 oz dollars about 298 pounds then.
The vehicle is a carby model 1.4 energy (1390cc OHC) very economic and surprisingly zippy.
The car was privately imported to Oz by a doctor in 2002. VERY VERY expensive to import into Oz not to mention the requirements of local Roads and traffic authority but then so are cars VERY expensive in Singapore!.

Unfortunately this model was never imported to OZ so parts are a hassle and you guys in pommey and the Kiwis are my only resort.

hop onto www.aussiefrogs.com for more specs on me.
Ill do a post and some pics at a later date
Merry Christmas from a fellow retro Frogger

Hi david 3533
Im on the East Coast of New South Wales
Newcastle in the Hunter Valley, famous for Wine and Coal not so much the coal now its further into the western and central region of the Hunter.

Iv had quite a few renaults over the years. 4 16s from TL to TS a 17 Gordini that was nice!, more 12s than I care to remember, an 83 R20Ts which I buried with honours and remorse and my first car a 10S.

Renault have not been overly successful again in Oz over the last few years. I think the model range is all wrong, the Clio being the only model thats popular per say. Oz mechanics are not given to small motors in smaller spaces and the word renult (pronounced by most as such) seems to send most of them shriveling in cowardice. This Ex mechanic has no problem with french cars.
