John West Tuna Chunks in Sunflower Oil
Dolphin friendly, damn, a very good source of protein apparently missing.
A change to the usual Tuna in brine mixture. Sunflower oil is high in Vitamin E and low in saturated fat. so ticking all the right boxes. Draining the oil off to an acceptable level it still had a hint of oily smell and the texture was that of oiled up female naughty bits. Sadly the texture isn't so great when taken orally. The overall quality of meat and taste were ok, yet theres a slightly annoying oily after taste, some may be ok with this others may find it excesssive. Overall not to bad, yet personally I would prefer to consume tuna in brine as I personally feel its nicer. However perhaps with pasta the added oil content may suddenly create an amazing harmony worthy of the gods. 6/10

Try the Yellowfin tuna... it's slightly more expensive, but as a special fishy treat I think you will agree it's worth it.

I would tend to agree with you Mr H. I got some of the Tuna in sunflower oil recently and found it to be not quite as good as the usualy brine stuff I get.
I'm really tempted by some tuna and cheese toasties after reading this, lol. |
