NiQuitin CQ smoking patches

okay been mulling over quitting the cancer sticks for a while and finally decided that saving £3000 + a year would buy a decent companion for the 19

so i visited the quack this morning and picked up my prescription for Step 1 of the NiQuitin patches which are 21mg for heavy smokers, these run for 6 weeks then you go down in mg (if it works)

they say you need willpower as well as these patches so we will see


put the first patch on (after smoking myself silly) and it worked for about 6 hours, no fags and no craving for one either, unfortunately i then went off to work and found that the sticky bit isnt strong enough to hold them on your arm when you are lifting stuff, and once it started coming unstuck (even parcel tape wouldnt hold it on - and that looked pretty impressive i can tell you) the effectiveness of the patch went downhill, after an hour of trying to keep it on it fell off completely and 1 hour later the craving kicked back in, so all in all they do seem to work ( I have had 5 fags in the time i usually have 20)you need to be careful on applying them, gonna try on the side of my chest tomorrow to see if it sticks any better there (failing that one on each eye so i cant find my fags might work)

highlight of the day was at one of my customers who asked what the patch was, so i told him it was hormone treatment so i could grow my own pair of tits as its easier than being nice to the wife - took him 5 minutes to work out i was pisstaking

Mate its good to know your quitting too, for me it was a matter of weening myself down to 10 packs then rollies
