Project Persil
Project Persil
to get it up and running, and whiter than white!
Published by bidderman1969

the beginning

well, here she is, as she arrived...

engine....

shiney!

camera didnt pick up very well the surface rust starting in the small gully round the rear window, hasnt gone through tho

yep, that doors shut

should be adjustable tho

i'd be suprised if its even had a polish, lol, ever!

so, now i believe in my own talents to bring this up to a far better standard, the only thing that bothers me now, is that it doesnt have PS and it has a choke, things which may put the wee lass off, however, i think that once its brought back upto a good standard, i should be able to sell it on ok.

in the daylight............

lets hope i can turn this pigs ear into a silk purse, hhhhhmmmmmmm

headgasket to sort out first of all, getting it running pukka, then sort out the paintwork, got most of the bits ready to go on, now i just gotta find the time!

thats debatable.

nothing loosk worse than stretched tyres and when i was testign if somehtign cam ein with those they would fail and sadly you can't GV9 a car but I would make sure tyh efailure said dangerous to drive

most 16V's are the same, I have seen more than one with the rocker cover actually chattering on the top of the engine its so loose

How bizzare. But those screws are insubstantial anyway in my opinion, they should either be fine thread, larger size or helicoiled

screws are fine when tightened properly and the thread isn't that coarse tbh and heli coil won't affect it either

Is there a piece of that head missing or is it just the soot, with the valve stuck out.
