My second white chammy

Assessment

14th October 2009

A white Chamade was offered on ebay this was the third time it was up so I went over for a look. Kevin and myself headed over in the 1 litre automatic mini, 104 miles round trip, the mini was ok just a bit slow.

Anyway got there and talked to the owner, its not ran in a few years, flat tyres, slight hit in the face, mint interior, good trip comp etc.

Clutch issue, water leak and no spark were the issues, the fact the brake pedal went to the floor was also an issue.

So went through had a look, Kevin as always just about managed to stop from exploding with excitement, seriously if your buying a mar's bar he's wanting to witness it.

Took some pictures then left to contemplate it

it wasn't stated in the ad but most are like that, tbh its not bad, seen a lot worse, the outer skin is all thats affected, not an mot failure anyway

Saying that I'm glad my blue ones perfect in that area

keep looking at the black one's (H reg) bits of wheel arch rust, needing to get it done before it gets too bad

yeah, I know you were all the usual its like a sunken russian sub after a nuke attack, but its fecking solid.

The rear arches are the rotten bits.

The inside of the arches cleaned up well, white paint in areas where the black never got to etc.

The boot panel thats totally rotten on the black car, its just started to bubble under the ns light

truly the worst bit is the wheels, they are pretty bad, most of the paint came off the inside of them with the pressure washer and all have rim leaks. Not a matching pair of tyres either, there is however oddly a 1 new toyo proxes T1S which is odd
