In the beginning

Skinny on the forums was advertising his car for breaking, rather than see another one getting broken I decided to step in and save it.

So me and Steve101 went up to Skinny's for a look at the car on Wednesday (I think). I decided I'll take it. The car needs a lot of work and when I say a lot I mean a LOT. Its in quite rough condition but it can be saved.

The body as its an H plate is rot free so thats why I was ok about parting with so much money. This is the dearest 19 16V I have ever bought! £250 and had to pay the hi-ab boys £40 quid to get it brought to the house.

Anyway I got some pics on Wednesday and here they are

Steve101 on the left and Skinny on the right

Anyway as i said it needs LOTS of work, I need to make a list and it will be very long. However I have most of the bits here at base camp so its just a case of getting on with it.

Car Details
Year, Make & Model:
1991 Renault 19 16V hatch

like I said most of them are like that or worse.

I'm just back in from doing a bit. I cleaned the windows inside, removed the heater vents and cleaned them and the ducts in the dash and changed the blown bulbs in the dash.

I have a carpet you can have if you cover the postage, see project maxi - page 7, it needs a damn good clean but it looks to be in good condition, certainly better than a holed one.

i may very well be interested Neo, I will need to go see if I have one at Emma's, if not I'll probably have it.

I need to list stuff that I need for it, the popular stuff is away at my end as usual.

looking good, least you can plug the hole yourself.

you need to get on that surface rust on the rear slam pannel bit before you end up with something like mine!

I wanted a new one of those bumper trims, they are silly money. What sort of twat would put it on upside down? No chance of removing it though, not without destroying it, I know that from experience.
