Restoring my Pride and Joy R19

Been stood some time now,it was full of water inside been like that for 6 years,last time i drove it the head went again,it cracked next to the 2nd spark plug hole from gearbox side,not the first time its boiled up phase 1 engine not reliable when it overheats.

whats being a 'phase 1 engine' got to do with anything? Exactly the same as ph2.

Well looked after engines in serviceable condition don't just overheat for no reason, what went wrong with it?
