Renault 19 Azur Cabriolet

This is a project and a half, managed to land myself with a right one, bought a dark blue M reg renault 19 1.8i azur cabriolet for 500 notes, not the best purchase in the world, i tried to off load it on ebay but it looks like its staying lol.. Only good points at the moment are that everything seems to work, but the apperence is where the work is needed due to surface rust on the body as it has stood with a car cover on it for sometime and has blistered in some strange places.. also interior is crap so im replacing that too and a lot of other bits and pieces... engine over heated on the way home think the fan isn't kicking in tho, temp light was on all the time even when the temp came down as i turned the heators on?? clutch cable is knacked as its been spaced out with washers but thats about it for now

Donor car

Due to the amount of parts that need to be replaced i bought a donor car in the form of a L reg r19 RSI i bought from ebay for 100 quid taxed and mot'd..

Apart from the fluffy pink steering wheel it served the purpose.. over the next few days i removed all the parts i needed and a few i didnt know i needed, i took the seats out as they looked nice when i picked the car up, i planned to have leather but these were mint so their staying, i robbed the sport steering wheel and a ton of plastic that turned out to be broken on mine, i had a cracked back light so that went, and i robbed the spare wheel holder and the rear tow eye as they were rusty as hell on the cabrio... i sold the clio alloy wheels off the convertible so its sitting on the rsi steels at the moment nicked a whole load of parts to numerous to list, it was well worth the £100.. still got loads to do, need a new bonnet for a start and near a full respray.. but so far so good

if you'd come on here a couple of months ago with the RSi being broken, Chris H would have bitten your hand off for the engine/loom eyc!
