Well I've introduced the car in the newbies section, and have it posted up in the virtual garage. Well basically a group of 4 of us decided to create a kind of low cost trackday car...it initially was a 1986 BMW 316 but laziness got the best of us and it's rusted away...so we're stripping that.
Got the Renault 19, and it's in great condition apart from a Blowing exhaust manifold and cracked distributor cap. Plans aren't concrete yet, but pretty much we shall fix whatever needs to be fixed, perform general maintenance, then the preparation can start. So far all I've penned up is converting to a mix of Renault 21 Turbo & TXi brake parts, and we may possibly try and source a Williams 2.0 engine (only if they're cheap, I hear they can go for decent to stupid money). Then overhauling the suspension, rollcage, stripping out the interior, other chassis stiffening methods, and use it as a track day car...perhaps enter it into a cheapish championship like 750 Club and so on.
Will post any progress up here. Any advice, and opinion is welcome
