Renault 9......

Ok, So I bought it in Aug '06, she was driving, with 36k on her. It needed a new distributer cap, a set of tyres and a good wash to get through her NCT, and I drove her till the brakes failed in June bringing her up to 47k.
When the brakes failed it was the last straw for me, and I decided she was either to be restored or sold. I parked it at my parents house and started looking for parts, realising, that it was nearly impossible to get parts for her I started saving and contacting everyine I knew in the motor trade telling them to be on the lookout for Renault 9's in scrap yards!
I struck gold in october when a friend came across some 9's while getting parts for his own car. After a 4 hour trip I had the first few parts to get the car back on the road.
So...
What have I done...
well, I overhauled the carb, and finally got the car running properly again!
So I have to put the new master cylinder, calipers and rear cyllinders on, after which she'll be safe to take on the road.
Then there's the new bonnet bumper wings, exhaust, draining the fuel tank and then the service and tweaking, and I can have her back!
