Leaking sunroof on clio 1.5 dci 51 reg. - Retro-Renault

Can't seem to find where the problem is here. But its leaving the drivers seat piss wet through.

Any clues how to fix it would be muchly appreciated.

the glass lifts out, pop the handle apart lift the glass out and clean the crap thats on the seal off, it will be gooey, do that and it shoudl stop or at least reduce the leaks.

theres no drainage pipes or anything, that seal is all that keeps the water out.

^ aye, had a look tonight and gave it a clean, wasn't that bad tbh. Noticed that at the top of the windscreen on the passenger side there's a little rubber missing unlike the drivers side which has an L shaped rubber in the corner.. Could that be the cause? Car covers a lot of motorway milage.. could blow in there and somehow get inside?

thats only the outer seal, si it won;t be gettign in there.

But yeah those gay L shaped things are forever falling off.

Notice the daft bulge in the middle at the top of the seal? thats to move air away so it doesn't buffet when the roofs open.

Strange designs hahah! My fat dad broke the wing mirror last night trying to squeeze past his wagon, I'll have to fit one from the scrappy today. No bad though coz I know where theres a few newer style clios! I take it the door card will have to come off Chris?

you can do the mirror with the card on but it takes some dexterity

^ in what sense? Bending it back a little bit? I'm assuming its 3x 10mm bolts like the valver or something?

bend it back, long needle nosed pliers for the eleccy plug etc. Theres a chances its held on with torx fixing as well, or a mixture!

well if an aerials causing the seat to get wet then tbh the cars beyond help as it will be in some sort of anti gravity field where water doesn't obey the laws of gravity.

the water builds up in the plastic casing for the sunroof motor/mechanism, it fills up the IR receiver cover too, then when it's full it leaks, and you get a nice shower.

It's still not cured yet you know.

I cleaned all the gack off. And checked all the torx screws were tight. Looked at it yesterday, behind the sun visors look damp. Also it's mainly the drivers seat getting wet.

I just can't seem to fathom it! Proper doing my tree in!
