Renault 19 16v indicator stalk

My ph1 indicator stalk seems to of stopped functioning properly. Every now and again the full beam wont work, or it will work but not stay on!

MOT station failed it on the full beam yesterday!

Just wondering will a ph2 stalk fit a ph1??

yes it will fit but the ph2 stalk is a lot less reliable than the ph1 stalk and its round

the 21 stalk is the same as the ph1 19 stalk.

Cheers Dan - Ill let you know in next day or so. Im gonna try the relay as someone mentioned before, if not do a quick swap for the stalk in my 21. If it turns out to be the stalk, I'll be in contact to buy yours.

Thanks mate

The previous owner must of known about the problem wit the stalk, as there was a spare in the glove-box

Would the relay stop the full beam from staying on or just stop it working altogether?

on these old cars, the relay won't stop the full beam from staying on.. it's normally the stalk that is worn/broken so it falls back to short beam, when you release it... common issue...
