MOT time

ihave a question for you guys.

how easy is it to change the rear flexi hoses for the brakes, was goona change thses and get new rear solid pipse made up at the same time

nice got the hoses just got to do it next weekend, i was thinking of soaking them in say wd40 during the week so it has time to soak inand possibly make life easier, you got any tips ongetting them off

one of the unions mounted on the beam is a complete fucker to get the spanner on at all without dropping the beam off the car slightly.

this is making want to do the job less and less lol, is it easier to take the solid pipe of the beam from the rear wheel cylinders with the flixi hoses aswell

if you can get some heat to the unions without melting/burning anything, that wil help no end.

One of those little hobby blowtorches which you put disposable lighters in would be good for this, must get me another one of those.

ok cool sounds good mate, i am gonna get me a decent set of brake pipe spanners so i can get some good grip on the unions so i stand a better chance of getting them off

yep, don't go anywhere near them without the right brake pipe spanners, they will just round off soon as you touch them.

moving the tank also gives more room same as droppignt he beam, get under and break off loose rust before applying any penetrating oil
