hmmm i hope no one posts the answer and PMs huw with how to do it.

I don't want anyone reading this knowing how easy it is to break into my car!

(yes i know if someone wants to get into it that badly they will, have had two of my ph1s broken into in the past, first had the lock on the drivers door screwdrivered and the 2nd had a brick thrown in through the drivers side window)

indeed lol but being in southend with a large amount of chavs who would just take it to joyride and burn out somewhere . .

Mine is Cat 1 alarmed and immobed but that wont stop someone who really really wants to take it.

My mate had (notice the HAD) a sierra cossie, all alarmed and immobed, the scum just came along with a recovery truck and lifted it straight on the back, alarm going off, no one took any notice because it was going onto a fully sign written recovery truck, that car was never seen again!

They got into mine in a busy shoping center parking in France.

They got both front doors open without a scratch. And then the ignition- steering lock.

All locks where fekerd. Immob saved he car.

Theft insurance payed for a new lock set all round.

Locks did,nt have a mark on them apart from the small hole cover thing pushed in.

and before anyoen starts this is a universal known way to do it.

I have the greatest respect for people who go in through the door seal and open it internally, I have never been able to do that on any car!

It works, I have done it after leaving the keys in the ignition and locking the car with the dash switch. Takes afew goes to get it right but no damage and no alarm.

ahh that's good news, i've always wondered though how do they get the laquer to look right if it's only sprayed in a certain area? I know with the pain they 'fade it out' do they do the same with the laquer?

yeah pretty much mate. Laquers clear as well remember and paint thickness is only microns when done right so can fade in fine.

new lacquer onto old lacquer really requires fade out thinners over the edge where new meets old if it is in the middle of a panel as you will always have an edge and polishing just highlights it. Thats why its best to lacquer up to an finished edge where possible.
