Main Headlight probs - Retro-Renault

Help please
I have a problem with main beam select when headlights are on although it works all other times. Been told its the dip relay and have ordered one but I am having problems finding it. Thought it was in the fusebox under parcel shelf but doesn't seem to be there.
Where else can I look?

Is the problem that the full beam wont toggle on and off, but will work if you hold the stalk back?

If so, its probably the stalk thats duff.

It sounds like the stalk if they'll flash but not come on when teh lights are turned on

its in the fusebox area, its above it near the centre console, som e are sdtuck with a pad otheres have a t20 screw through the side into the fusebox.

Isn't that the dipped relay?

They're about 40 quid from renault

powers dim and dipped.

On the ph1's its even more complicated by the dim dip resistor pack for the sidelights.

thanks for the reply.
the full beam comes on when the lights are switched off, but when lights on nuffink - just dipped headlights all the time even when you pull the stalk towards you.
i looked by the fusebox but didnt see it. Haynes doesnt show it. the relays I did find were for indicators and lights on buzzer. i'll have another look under there.
