I have a 1989 Renault 5 1108cc Campus that I'm doing up. can anyone suggest a cure for a problem I have...
the car starts fine on full choke and runs smoothly for 3-4 minutes as the engine warms up and I put the choke in. Then it suddenly cuts out, and will not restart until it cools back down again. Once it cuts out, there is no spark. When it cools down again, the spark is back and it starts and runs fine again 3-4 mins before cutting out again. I've put a new condenser on but no change. Any ideas? |

get a new set of points and condensor, ignition tyiming in the 8 - 10 degree range, use teh gearbox window hole to set tyhe timing.
Alternatively whent he points and condensor are changed move the dizzy by hand to see where it runs the sweetest. A nice article I done for this very thing Ignition Timing
