few more q's :)

i have a few more problems if you peeps are kind enough to help me out again, basicaly wanna know what the problem may be (classic faults ect) and the work involved in repairing as im trying to do as much work my self so i can learn as much as poss and save the cash for other things ;p.

ok.. my rev counter only seems to work when it wants to,doesnt seem to be any kind of pattern just wenever it feels like it. i thought maybe a loose wire somewere?
the car overheats at high revs, im guessing a fan has stopped working somwere or something as the radiator seems ok and has plenty of water.
when in low revs the car acts as if it wants to stall, seems to be in any gear (particuarly in lower gears and when pulling off) i have no idea as to what this may be.allthough the actuator (i think is the right term) were closed as it needs new engine mounts,so he closed it so it didnt jump about as much wen changing gears. i have turned it back up slighty and the problem is no better. i thought maybe it could be the engine giving a stalling feeling, but then maybe not.
when in 5th the car seems to make a slight squeeling noise (very faint) am i right in thinkin i may need a new gearbox?
lastly the car doesnt seem to run very smooth and it very loud in the cockpit. ill maybe give it a little service this week end and see if anythings any better,i just wont want to spend money on things and find it hasnt solved anything.

thanks and sorry for the long post.

Are you talking about the adjuster screw on the throttle body?
