ET38 rims on 19 16V

Hi,

I'm about to buy a new set of rims and tyres.. Used to run 17's but am gonna switch to 16's for comfort/handling reasons... Many 7x16" rims are ET38 (for the ET ranges that fit this car).. does anybody here know if 7x16" ET38 rims with 205/45 tyres will work out? I know the ET is a bit high, so I'm concerned if the tyres will touch the inner arches on full lock (the 17's i used to run were 7.5x17 ET30 205/40 and that works perfectly, btw)..

cheers

thats what i thought, chris... only issue would be because of the wider tyre (205 vs 195).. would actually prefer something like ET35, but not many 7" rims come with that offset.
