Radiator

Does anyone know where to obtain information and specs for manufacturers OE radiators? The information I'm wanting in particular is dimensions and cooling efficiency.

The 19 is going to need something a bit more substantial than the 1.4 rad yet is just as easygoing on the available space.

Now, I fully appreciate the wonders of technology and engineering nowadays allow anything to be made to any spec - for a price - so I would prefer to see the custom route as more of a last resort and would much rather retro-fit an OE radiator from another car to try and keep the car as much under budget as possible.

Only thing I need now is how easy it is to get access to said information or even some suggestions as to rads that are compact yet efficient and therefore would be fit for purpose on the 19!

Not got the info your'e after mate but why not go to a scrap yard and measure up the rad from a 406/Laguna V6? Or, you could ask on the Pug forums and get someone to measure it up for you and point out where the connections are.

Well I could do matey but I was expecting that the OE V6 rad would be too big to mount in the bay although after lifting the engine into the bay from beneath there's a lot more room around the lump than I expected.

You'd possibly be suprised at the size of the rad TBH. The 19 is a decent car to unlike the Clio so it's got a fair bit of room under the bonet.

I don't know mate, I don't know if the owner of it frequents any forums nor do I have any contact details so that's a no goer I'm afraid.

I'm just trying to arm myself with information so that when I see a rad for a particular car I'm gonna know in advance a) if it's suitable for cooling a car of this displacement/power and b) it's gonna fit!
