clio 172/182 front brake calipers

correct me if i'm wrong. do these cars run 285mm front brakes.

if so do these calipers fit the 19 16v front hubs. and would you need to run spacer brackets

thanks

they are 280mm, same as the later megane coupes i think

and no, they wont fit straight on the 19 16V's hubs, although I believe someone is designing spacer brackets to fit them to clio 16V/williams (same fitting as the 19)

just wanted to let you guys know that this works perfectly,
here's some pic's of my brake-upgrade to clio RS brakes:

before:

after:

braking power has increased dramaticly, and offcourse the looks are great to

for this upgrade i used:
clio RS 54mm cylinder brake callipers
alfa 155 4x4 Turbo brake pads
megane rs 280mm drilled discs
and a pair of adjusted hubs to fit the brackets for the callipers, (you'll need to take of about 1.5 mm, or else the calliper won't be able to go over the disc).

in total it cost me about €400,- (guess that would be around 550 pounds)

uhm yes i think thats about right (tiny mis-calculation here :P). offcourse you can save a little bit of money, because i bought perforated discs, and alfa blocks, if you take stock parts of the clio, you'll save about £50,-

yup, standard 19 hubs will do. here's a pic:

you'll need to take off 1,5mm of the area where the drill is on. that is, if you use new discs that are 24mm. if you use second hand discs that are 22mm or thinner, then you won't have to modify the hubs...

tnx, and the main reason why i did this upgrade is because i'm thinking of puting in a 2.0 16v lump in a few months or so and offcourse because it looks really nice
