Renault 19 Chamade back axel
Hi all,
I have a major problem with my late 1991 'Renault 19 Chamade' At first it seem'd like a shock went on back left but no springs, so turns out the shocks are all sorta built into the axel? Anyways, its that bad'ly rusted etc, that I have been sent to get a whole back axel section and what I want to know is : What luck have I getting one, i mean, is the back Axel of the 'Chamade' the SAME as normal hatch back models? or MUST I find a back axel section from another 'Chamade' Please help as I have no idea what to do here, all I know is its like someone has pimp'd my ride on the back left BIAF, |

any 19 axle will fit any year.
The 1.4's come with rear drums and the closed rear axle. The open bar axle is an upgrade for these though so they will also go. The 1.7's and up come with either drums or discs so you need to get the right one. They are alos open bar rear axle. So you need to get an open bar axle. |

Cool, I think I signed-up before here, maybe account clear'd due to not logging in, but then the Chamade never give bother much then so had nothing to post hehe.
Just when your there, the car flys through mot every year but major oil leak, I dont think the motor's worth stripping down to replace gasgits etc and was wondering is there any magic! stop leck suff on market that actulay helps, its making a sad state on my tarmac. I have been told a few tips from my local garage man : 1. I need a new spacer between the wheels! 2. Put sawdust into her and ph**k away off 3. Dont put any oil in her. lol, im hoping someone can give me better tips BIAF, |

"1. I need a new spacer between the wheels!" thats my garage man's way of saying the whole 'bit' between the wheels, lol as in the car its self hehe.
its basicly leaking around main gasgit where engine splits, (the gasgit where the engine would have to come out to be replace i been told) minor stuff coming from head area, but the main gasgit, well it seems through it and all runs down to the base and drips, if you was to wipe with something, then watch it , you can see it starting to seem through the seal'd area.
