boot light not going off

this normally wouldnt bother me but its connected to the boot sensor for the alarm.

ive tried a few different switches but the light stays on, but sometimes it randomly works other times it doesnt... any solutions?

whats the gap at the top of the tailgate like?

hi mate, not sure, what should i be looking for?

do you mean the gap between the tailgate and the switch? if so its ok, makes full contact.

yeah but does it shut properly? look at the report on meddy clios car, see the tailgate gap at rthe top that was causing the light to flicker.

You may als find the wires are shorting out especially fi an alaarms been badly fitted to it.

cool article just read it, do the bolts just need adjusting then if theres a big gap? Not sure on the alarm, bloke thought it was the switch as he had problems with it too.

yeah if theres a big gap just close it the gap up to where it should be,.

I would have a look at the wiring myself, it just has to touch the bodywork for the light to come on

worst comes to worst take the bulb out for now, until you have some time to look at it. Sometimes the little thing switch on the boot at the right hand side gets stuck, sometimes it doesn't work at all. Try replacing that?
