strange buzzing noise when car switched off

i have never owned a renault before im more used to working on rs fords mk1 golfs,205 gti's, astra gte's etc so im slowly getting my way around ma new project. when i turn the ignition off there is a small buzzing sound from near the radiator which switches itself off after about 7 to 10 mins, wtf is it, im sure its only doing its job but i have never come across this on any other cars.

i am used to rattling cars from 1970s and 80s, although i have the car on a classic insurance its quite modern for its time, effin comfy to drive, its in for its test tomorrow at 3.30pm so i hope it does not need much or even better, passes. i spent £30 on 1 cooling fan stat, 2 rear exhaust rubbers and a coolant bottle top as the old dude i got car from lost the top.plugged my cd in today and even the speakers are good in these motors.

Yeah I find most Renaults are underated bu Joe Public.

Thing is, most people think they know, but they don't.

People just think that because they're French they must be rotten and unreliable.

In reality, yes that is partly the case but everytime I take someone out in my Clio they're amazed it has things like electric mirrors, R/C/L and PAs and stuff. people are stupid.

Love renaults, ahead of most in their class in most aspects.

yes it does, its to stop localised overheating especially aroudn the exh valves.

Nothign to do with starting in any form!

The clio system is better as its temp dependant instead of the pump comes on everytime the ignitions on.

Is this down to the relay or somthing else on the system? Couldnt get hold of a 19 relay so stole one from a clio and to my knowledge no pump worky.

the clio has a temp switch on the bottom of the stat housing. it kicks the aux pump and the rad fan in.

relays dunno if they are the same or not tbh.

Looks identical, must be a pump failure then.
