Pulls in a staright line, brakes in a staright line.

brakes are about 5000 miles old and work perfect.

couldn't actually be the gearbox could it? iwas just wondering when you said it made the noise at 70 regardless of in gear, dropped clutch etc,.. its just that the gearbox is still whirling around at them speeds anyhow......... just a suggestion, im not an expert before anyone rips the piss outta what i just said...........

Well i would say its very similar, to if you have your window slightly open at speed, you get that pulsating vacuum noise but in the form of feedback through the steering wheel.

However it shouldnt be happening and i want it fixed

Different set of wheels and tyres tested......no change.

Stans had another gander over it today and the only real thing is the play in the driveshaft, even though he isnt sure the small amount of play would cause it.

Anyway ill get both driveshafts changed as they will need to be changed sooner or later anyway.

Its the riveshaft lol, was getting the downpipe sorted today.

Noticed a nice slash on the innter CV boot on the drivers side (O/S) driveshaft.

Although we couldnt tell, when we pushed it around no grease came out so it must have been running dry for quite some time, considering its been the same since the day i got the car.

Its got quite a bit of play in it aswell

sounds a bit random but if your rear wheels are severly out of balance (sometimes a build up of dirt inside can cause this) or buckled it will cause those symptoms. worth a look.

Brand new renault driveshaft fitted last night to replace the shagged one.

Made diddly squat difference and still get the exact same speed wobble, im starting to run out of ideas here :/

Stans suggested checking the run out of the hubs, i think thats next on the cards.

Starting to annoy me lots!

sounds well dodgy mate! Get the runout of the discs checked too just incase. When it starts vibrating what happens when you brake?
