Pic of carb.... want to identify this bit...

Hi, this isnt my carb... but the connector that I have circled red had a hose coming off it. Mine was split and I wondered how this would have effected how my car runs?

What is its purpose?

Thanks.

thats the accel pump, a pipe comes form the lobster to it. Its so that the thing behaves as it should under boost.

It will only affect runnign when flooring it really

Thank u kindly! I havent had a chance to test it since finding this split! It was a big tear...I'm surprised the pipe even stayed connected as half the pipe was split all the way around underneath where the clip holding it on had torn through.

So will this deffo make a difference to performance now and feel more responsive? as It wasnt 100% right.. this will be a result!

Thanks Chris.

It was lucky as I have some spare vac hose that was the right size.. so i replaced it with a new piece of hose. I just havent had a chance to test it since and was curious to how that hose would effect the running / performance. It will be interesting to feel it under boost and see if I notice any difference. Thanks mate.
