Core Plug Sealant

Hello peeps

Hopefully Tearing the shed apart sometime next week and one of the million things I'll be doing is replacing the core plugs as I got a full set from good ol' renault.

Was just wondering what would be the best sealant to use and where best to get it from? Also any hints on doing this particular job would be much appreciated

Better get the camera charged for a project report

Thanks Lads

don't use sealant. Make sure the holes clean and tap it in.

Oh, I was under the impression that you needed to put somesort of sealant on first for a 100% watertight seal.

Anyway just remembered I heard somewhere that if I get a socket around the same size as the plug I should use that and a knock'o'meter (hammer) to tap them in, is that right??

How far should they go in, I was thinking either flush or about 0.5-1 mm deeper???

make sure the sockets loose as they close over when tapped in thats how they seal.

if you must use sealant whciH i never do then use blue hylomar or similar.

if you look at the hole syou see a chamfered edge, knock them till the edge of the bucket is in line with it, you'll see what i MEAN WHEN YOU DO IT
