renault 19 16 v
hey peeps i just put a new cylinder head on my renault 19, she fires up fine but the engine is going from 500 rpm to 1000 rpm continusly almost like its hunting ive put a new lambda sensor, cat converter but still got no wherewith it, i was told it could be an air ingression basicly the engine is getting to much air has anyone else experienced this if so have you got any advice thanks danny.

Definitely check all the vaccum hoses, the little black ones that all connect to the inlet manifold, also check where the one joins the MAP sensor mounted on the bulkead.
Check for air leaks all round the inet pipes etc Check all the electrical plugs are secure Did you put different parts on it or was it all stuff that was running fine before? |

its basicly all the stuff of the old head inlet manifold etc all the pipes seem to be fine, there is a solenoid that controls how much air is being put in, it runs of the carbon chamber could it be that at all or could it faulty oxygen sensor ?
