f7p innie manlet and ecu query..

Got myself an motor the other day £60 with all ancillaries, ecu etc..

I been told by couple of boys on " clio16valver " that i wont be able to run it in the 19 as the inlet mannie is different...But, would i be able to run the engine with the clio`s ecu, inlet mannie?

I cnt see this being a problem, but i can imagine there`s going to be...

all help is appreciated...thanks..

If it's out of a clio the loom will be slightly different, they have all the same components located in different parts of the engine bay, e.g. battery, ecu. All the parts themselves should be fine. Two engine mounts are different in the 19.

What's it going into, can't you swap various bits over?

There is a very slight difference between inlets, cant quite remember what but I think one is slightly fatter if that makes any sense and causes some issues when being fitted.

if i'm not mistaken, the clio manifold is a bit shorter (and angled differently?) where the TB bolts on.. i don't see there should be a space issue when fitting it in a 19..

How is the exhaust manifold different? If you have a williams or aftermarket manifold they should still fit. Of course the exhaust downpipe is different between the clio and the 19.

I realised you said 19 in your first post, I was getting at what type of engine it may have had up til now. If it's not a 16v then of course the exhaust system will be different... as will some other things
