Question Just bought a GTT Stage 3 head... how good?

I havent had a performance cyl head before on a 5 GTT.. I was wondering how much it will improve the performance? is the original really that restrictive? will it give less turbo lag?

K-Tec Racing - Renault Tuning & Styling Specialists

Thanks.

Not worth the money. Spend on other performance parts if you want. turbo, cooling, cam, exhaust. Dont bother with head work unless you want to pay stupid money for seeing 1bhp extra. and also the same with the manifold as there is no real gains in that either.

The whole design of the head is restrictive. Only real way of making it better is by putting a cross flow head on it, and thats major work.

Cheers BF I needed a new head as the other one was a scrapper. I have already upgraded all the other bits u mentioned so nothing else needed really. I guess at least it wont hurt to have it flowing better than it was before. Just looking forward to driving it again

Always knew somebody was going to say something like that. Had to be Mals.

Where abouts in essex you from? Also what spec is your engine?

I gather its a surcharge on the head as I know they dont have new ones anymore. or do you supply your own to get the work done. would check the depth of the head before fitting though, as more than likely it would have been skimmed more than once.
