Buying a new car over the next few weeks so I have to get my clio ready to sell/trade in.

Info:

97 Clio 1.2(DIET) Rn with 100k on it.

Things to do:

-Seal the sunroof
-Raise the back of it
-Give it a good wash(Spend the last 2 months parked up getting shit on by birds)
-NCT it, if its worth doing.

No pictures yet but I'm gonna do a guide like thing for raising the torsion bar as its a common enough question asked.

Before:

This is it lowered about 70mm I think, not quite sure exactly.

[IMG:1024:1280:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0157.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Loosening the lower damper bolt. 18mm socket iirc.

[IMG:512:640:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0158.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Jack up the car and get it on the axle stands.

[IMG:1024:1280:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0159.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Lower damper nut removed fully.

[IMG:1280:1024:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0160.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Dust cover off the torsion bar, splines are nice and clean and greased so it should pull out very easily.

[IMG:1280:1024:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0161.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
My trusty 10mm bolt that has been used countless times for this.

[IMG:1280:1024:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0162.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Screw is in as far as possible to the end of the bar.

[IMG:512:640:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0165.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Now bouce the wheel/arm while pulling on the bult and the bar should slide out easily like above. Note this is the far side, I forgot to get a picture of the first side.

To lift the suspension push the wheel/arm down the required amount and slide the bar back in. Might need a jiggle to get it back in.

[IMG:512:640:eed3649276]http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i154/colmaustin/SP_A0163.jpg[/img:eed3649276]
Now as I have 16v dampers on the back I had to jack up the arm to the right level to get the bolt back in.

Tighten up the bolts fully drop the car and hope you got either side the same height Wink

Some pictures from yesterday raising the rear of it, if somebody wants to host them on decent webspace I'll write a guide for them. To view them click the link and then refresh the page that loads.
